SCOPE OF ACTIVITIES
Bringing its mission and objectives into life, OIC Poland Foundation predominantly focuses on the investment in people which agrees with the motto coined by Teresa Bogacka, the president of the board, “… it was not until recently that we all had understood and found the investment in people the most significant and strategic, the most profitable for the development of people and our businesses and finally the most beneficial for the development of our region and eventually our country. It is not natural resources, land productivity or business activities that lie at the bottom of the social and economic development of our country. It is people. Companies may go bankrupt, assets may decline and disappear but knowledge and the human resources potentials are always there.”
SOCIAL ACTIVITY
The unemployed, single mothers, difficult youngsters or outsiders are the addressees of the Foundation’s social undertakings. The activities are not only beneficent for those in need but they also provide analyses and relevant expertise in these matters for other social institutions. The Foundation closely cooperates with the regional self government institutions (for example, Regional Labor Offices, County Labor Offices, social help centers and other non state organizations as well as business companies).

EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITY
Educational activity is about running post graduate studies which are constantly modified according to the changes taking place on the labor market. In this context OIC Poland Foundation actively supports the development of educational institutions, job market and social help centers or institutions. However, the most significant and given priority educational undertaking took place in February 2001. It was the moment when WSEI was founded. The school has quickly become the leader among the non state higher education schools in the south-east of Poland. This fact is confirmed by being ranked first in the Regional League of Higher Education Schools in the Lublin region as it was published by Education World magazine in April 2007. An identical opinion comes from a different source, a “Reliable School” ranking, published by Academic Information Center in Poznan where WSEI is considered to be the best non state higher education school in the eastern Poland. AIC has already awarded WSEI with this certificate four times. Another higher education schools ranking published by AIC positions WSEI 18th in the general category of non state higher education schools in Poland and this is the highest position among other non state schools in the eastern Poland. A Reliable School Certificate is issued to schools which are entirely trustworthy. No one has any doubt that the school pays a maximum attention to the high standards of teaching and makes every effort possible so that students when graduated can easily find employment. This year the project was carried out under the banner of “Reliable school – a higher education school of success”. The position WSEI has achieved in all the rank categories clearly confirms the highest degree of attentiveness towards its students. The scientific and teaching equipment category has positioned WSEI among the best five higher education schools in Poland and the friendly studying category has ranked WSEI sixth in Poland. Carrying out different educational projects OIC Poland Foundation together with WSEI often cooperates with many various higher education schools and institutions both in Poland and abroad.

The above mentioned things do not produce the entire catalogue of activities OIC Poland Foundation is involved in and addresses to various professionals, business people, teachers, the unemployed, the government and the local self government administration, job market institutions or social help centers. The quality that clearly distinguishes OIC Poland Foundation from the other non state organizations of the similar kind is flexibility of undertaken activities which is permanently adjusted to the new economic and social problems of the region.
SUPPORT GIVEN TO COMPANIES
With reference to companies the activities are focused on human resources development, making employees more competitive on the European market as well as implementing innovative solutions and new technologies into business. Simultaneously OIC Poland Foundation effectively supports medium and small scale enterprises development by means of donation projects, which initially was the core activity of the Foundation. OIC Poland Foundation was a precursor of teaching entrepreneurialship to junior high school and secondary school pupils. It was also one of the first institutions to create and found business and entrepreneurial incubators in Poland. In this context the Foundation cooperates with many different companies in Poland but particularly actively in the Lublin region.
